Why did Crysis 2 get bad reviews?

A lot of the pure reviews are solely because a lot of PC gamers were expecting a step up from Crysis 1.. Me personally I own a PC that runs Crysis on maximum settings and it most definetely the best looking game currently on consumer market.. and to spend the best part of 拢40 on release for Crysis 2, to only be let down by not only gameplay, but story line, and most of all for me graphically, I was expecting a massive massive step up from the original, but they fell below the bar.. I personally still really enjoyed the game but I would rather own 1 than 2 any day of the week.Why did Crysis 2 get bad reviews?
its a great game although there are some bugs and glitches according to many reviewers.
