I had a look at reviwes for each component before I added them to the machina and in general all the components I added had a lot of praise, especially the graphics card.
I didn't look too deeply into my CPU though and I fear I may have shot myself in the foot after reading up some reviews about it.
here are the stats.
AMD Bulldozer FX 4100 3.6Ghz quad core CPU
8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM
1TB Hard drive
Nvida GeForce GTX 550Ti 1GB GPU
High performance Gigabyte motherboard
Wifi internett access PCI card
(450 watt)
Upon futher research I've heard bad things about the bulldozer CPU and the wattage for the machina.
Will this machine run games such as Crysis on medium/max settings? (I saw an example of the 550Ti GPU running Crysis 2 on max settings with 40FPS)
If there are problems with my rig can you suggerst replacement components?
ThanksHow will my Computer setup deal with gaming/crysis 2?
You definitely shot yourself in the foot with the CPU. You should of a paid a little more to get a Intel i5 as it would of been much better bang for you buck. However it shouldn't bottle neck your video card you should still be able to play Crysis at max settings with 40FPS if that's what the video card is reported at. Since you already paid for your motherboard and CPU it wouldn't be worth it to exchange it now, but if its an AM3+ slot you should get the 2nd revision "Piledriver" when it comes as it should be a vast improvement. How will my Computer setup deal with gaming/crysis 2?
ive never used a bulldozer CPU before but my 2 year old laptop plays Crysis 2 on advanced (medium) so i think you should be fine.
